ABIC (Brazilian Association of Coffee Industry) announced in a press release that will expand next year, their Purity Seal program, which aims to combat frauds that are detected in the raw material used in the manufacture of roasted and ground coffee.
Nathan Herszkowicz, executive director of the organization, said that the number of samples analysed by laboratories accredited by the current program will be 2800 to 6000 in 2014.
